Go for dinner!! Super quaint– dinner by candlelight, warm red and blue colors, lights on the trees outside…

Sunday brunch was good— not ah/may/zing, but good quantity.

It was dinner Wisconsin that wow’ed us. Very fresh, lots of interesting flavors. The flatbread appetizer was generous, with lots of fresh veges– shareable among 4 ppl. The cream of mushroom soup was like a Sunday Pot Roast in my mouth (in a good way— taste buds were singing for joy over the hour following my last bite). Perch was also good— fried well, not heavy, and with an amazing potato hash combination. Steak was a bit chewy, but excellently cooked and seasoned.

Was staying at the Kohler Resort for a big extended family trip that had 14 people in the party. On our night that we had The Wisconsin Room booked (reservation was made four months in advanced), our experience was unbelievable in a very bad way. For context, Kohler Resort is a luxurious five star hotel where the price point should absolutely leave no question as to what the quality of service or food should be. Service at the Wisconsin Room was nothing short of terrible. There is no other way to describe it. The restaurant was not remotely busy on a Monday night. It took about 20 minutes from sit down till the time everyone had water and their ordered beverages. From that point on, there were no check ins, offers for refills, and when our orders were finally brought out an hour and fifteen minutes later, two orders were completely missing, and our waitress had to bring out two plates at a time with no help from any other staff. My daughter’s kids pasta never made it out nor did my father-in-law’s salmon. When it finally did about 15 minutes after everyone else’s, it was so overdone, it was not edible. The service combined with incorrect orders and the quality of the food was a tough pill to swallow for a big family dinner that totaled just over $1200. Very disappointed for what was supposed to be the “big fancy dinner” for our family vacation. The price point Kohler is at should not leave any doubt as to the level of service and quality to be expected…..this was a big swing and miss for this particular restaurant at the resort and do not recommend.

A beautiful room that screams sophistication.  Take the time to look around and appreciate the ambiance, especially for dinner. Expect smaller plates and a higher price tag, but that was always our expectation.  The service, wine, and food were all fantastic.  It should be an experience.

You’ve got to be kidding me.  The food tastes very good, but the portion sizes are a joke, like the TV ad on mini food.  My table of four had two tuna appetizers, and I had the lamb chop entree with two ekstra sides and dessert. Over $100 in cost for my food alone. The lamb chops were the size of a two bite appetizer, with essentially nothing else on the plate, and the appetizers themselves were so thin as to be practically transparent.  All told it added up to about one-third of a düzgüsel sized meal.  I get fine dining, but from a value standpoint I’d score this less than one yıldız if I could.  Rip off.

Best breakfast brunch in the Midwest!  There, I said it.  The $42 brunch includes mimosas (plural), coffee, custom omelette, fruit, salad, the best French toast I’ve had in awhile, fluffy quiche, a raw bar (oysters and shrimp), chocolate smoothies, breakfast pastries, multiple lunch items (don’t miss the short rib!), and of course dessert.  You can’t skip the bread pudding for dessert, or the cinnamon roll breakfast pastry.  Service was wonderful as well.  I keep coming back here and still can’t believe the affordable price!

Were staying at The American Club. Tonight we had a 6:15 reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. 7 pm we were seated. After a while of settling in, we order drinks. I should have known we were in trouble when my cashmere hammer stout did not come with a glass! The initial courses took awhile. We got our soup, which was pretty good. Then our kale salad sat in front of us for ages. I refused to eat it without a proper plate. Wait and wait. Need more water, wait some more. Our mains came, turkey with all the accoutrements, green beans and more potatoes. Even salmon. That was all good. But the empty plates just say there. And our waitress told us there was a short rib course with risotto. Sure, bring it. 40 minutes we waited. Finally some of my party went back to their rooms. I was ready to leave myself. But others wanted the remaining food.

Yet, there were still dirty plates on our table. Even when the next course cane out. This is unbelievable. It’s like we’re getting punked. It’s 9:30 and we’re still sitting there. There fourths of the place was cleared out.

Oh well, at least we have a thanksgiving story to tell for decades.

We come here for brunch every holiday season. Their brunch is a hefty $49, which yes…is pricey. However, the brunch includes waffles, French toast, an egg/omelette bar, entrees, cold appetizers, pastries, and a small fish bar. They also have some fabulous desserts. The real value in the brunch however is that it include mimosas, coffee, and most items are made to order. They usually have a carving item, this year it was prime rib which my boyfriend loved. The macaroons this year were also to die for. If you’re looking for a fancy brunch or are celebrating something, the Wisconsin room definitely does it up for brunch

We enjoyed dinner here included with a package at the American Club. Everyone in the party received appetizer, entree and dessert as well as unlimited sides. I had the parsnip soup which was the seasonal vegetable soup. It was interesting. I didn’t not like it but not sure what to make of it. It had apples and celery in it and was almost sweet. More of a purée than a soup. For dinner I had the maple chicken which was very juicy and delicious. We ended the evening with the chocolate torte and the cranberry apple dessert. Both were very good. Service was on point even for a busy night. I wasn’t WOWED but overall a great meal.

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Carriage House at the American Club for our 40th anniversary. We made the mistake and choose The Wisconsin Room for dinnerEverything started out great drinks were good. The chicken soup I order was very good the Carrot soup my wife border tasted funky; not good. Then our entries arrived, I had the Char it was very good, my wife had Salmon and it was served cold. We told our server and she was great, however I finished my dinner and 15 minutes later my wife’s Salmon arrived. You all know how this feels, she watched me eat, them I watched her; super bad Karma. The night did not finish well. This type of restaurant needs to get it right.Bad experience,Would not go back

We’ve had breakfast here twice…I tried the buffet the first day and ordered off the menu the Wisconsin second day. I suggest ordering off the menu! The omelet on the buffet is tiny Wisconsin (seriously) and the toast selection is just okay. The crustless quiche was really good. Everything else was just okay. The omelet off the menu, delicious! And I got an English muffin, not a choice on the buffet. Cappuccino is okay, the one in the stain glass window cafe is so much better.
